The Great British Bike Off
Monmouthshire will send a warm welcome to cyclists passing through on VELOTHON event day and any visiting during the build-up in training. Local residents and businesses in Usk have decorated the town with bikes and bicycle wheels - which have been given a makeover by local school children.
The Caerleon Festival is taking place from the 5 - 15th July but there will be events happening specifically on VELOTHON day on the 8th July. Gatecrashers will be playing at the St Julian Inn, offering the listener a wide variety of music in Caerleon. Everyone welcome!
Blaenavon have become the latest town on the VELOTHON Wales route to embrace Wales’ largest cycling sportive after decorating the streets with up-cycled bikes.
The Torfaen town have followed Usk’s lead to give VELOTHON Wales participants a vibrant welcome to their historic home this Sunday. The Blaenavon World Heritage Committee challenged local businesses to create their own cycling showpieces in preparation for last weekend’s successful Blaenavon World Heritage Day.
